Learning modules from The Rivers Centre

The Rivers Centre is NHS Lothian’s specialist service for people affected by psychological trauma. Opened in 1997, for nearly 20 years we operated within the grounds of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. In 2017 we moved to the historic Fountainbridge Library building in West of Edinburgh.

We provide psychotherapeutic based clinical services for people where past experience of trauma is central to the psychological, emotional and relational difficulties they are experiencing.

Our multi-disciplinary team consists of a range of professionals including clinical and counselling psychologists, psychological therapists, psychiatrists, specialist link workers, training advisors and project support colleagues. All our clinical staff are registered with and abide by the ethical guidelines of their respective professional bodies.

The purpose of this site is to host our learning modules. If you would like more infomation or get in contact with The Rivers Centre, please refer to our pages on the NHS Lothian website.
